Genesis AGM batteries are lead-acid, produced by the renowned manufacturer Enersys. These high-quality batteries are one of the most durable on the EU market. Since its introduction in the 1990s, Genesis batteries with TPPL (thin plate pure lead) technology have been among the premium high-performance batteries suitable for a wide range of demanding applications.

Today, this battery can be found in applications as diverse as electronics, medical technology, telecommunications, gardening technology, computer backup and UPS. TPPL technology allows more energy to be stored in a smaller container. The EP product range is suitable for any application: high load, low load, continuous power supply. Deep cycle discharge and fast recharge are also possible. The indistinguishable design allows for mounting in any orientation (except upside down).

The expected battery life depends on the specific application. It can be expressed in both the number of cycles and the number of years. While the life given in years is self-explanatory, the number of cycles refers to the sequence where a charged battery is discharged and then recharged. One such sequence is called a cycle. In short, if the battery is discharged regularly, the life in cycles is more accurate than the life in years. On the other hand, if the battery will be used primarily as a backup, the service life is given in years.

Genesis EP series batteries have an optimal service life of 10 years (at 25°C). However, the service life is also given in cycles at a temperature of 25°C, the number of cycles with regular discharge to 80% D.O.D. (D.O.D. = depth of discharge = depth of discharge, 80% of the energy is removed from the battery) is approximately 400 cycles.
